- V4A3 - Representation Theory I
Wednesdays 10-12, Fridays 8-10 (Kleiner Hörsaal, Wegeler Str. 10)
In this course we will give an introduction into semisimple Lie algebras. This will involve the basic notions and classifications, but then in particular their representation theory. - S4A2 Graduate Seminar on Representation Theory: Bow varieties and 3d mirror symmetry
Fridays, 10-12 (SR 0.006)
Description: Bow varieties are constructed via symplectic reduction of certain affine varieties generalizing the construction of Nakajima quiver varieties. Due to their construction, these varieties are equipped with rich structures such as a symplectic form and tautological bundles. The family of Bow varieties is of recent interest in mathematics because this family is the natural collection of varieties to study the 3d mirror symmetry phenomenon. This is a prediction from theoretical physics stating that there is an intimate relationship between a bow variety and its dual bow variety. Mathematical manifestations of this phenomenon lead to interesting applications in algebraic geometry and representation theory. We will study these varieties and see some applications. - Oberseminar Darstellungstheorie
