I am an Assistant Professor (Akademischer Rat auf Zeit) at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Bonn. Before that, I was a Hausdorff postdoc under the mentorship of Christoph Thiele at the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, also in Bonn. I obtained my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 2012 under the supervision of Michael Christ, and before that I graduated from the University of Porto in 2006 with a B.Sc. in Mathematics.

I am broadly interested in mathematical analysis. My research focuses on harmonic analysis with special emphasis on sharp inequalities, oscillatory integrals and restriction theory for the Fourier transform. More recently I became interested in uncertainty principles and nonlinear Fourier analysis.
